UgandaKids e.V. is a non profit organisation – confessionally and politically independent.
We have made it our challenge to support vulnerable children in Uganda to open up opportunities for their own future with their own aims.
Medium-term Aims
Our medium-term aims for the next 1 to 3 years are mainly
- the maintanance of the primary school and
- to ensure that there is a strong team in Adjumani
- to build up the new trainee workshops
At the moment there are 655 children at the nursery and primary school. UgandaKids wants to offer these children an opportunity for good education at ground school level, which will enable them to continue further education.
This means: currently there are 40 former UgandaKids pupils who receive scholarships. These young people can therefore continue their further education in secondary level. Many other pupils have received scholarships from other schools.
Training workshops are currently in planning process for young people who cannot or do not want to attend secondary school. The aim is to teach manual skills that are in demand locally. (like agriculture, housekeeping and tailoring, metal and woodwork)
