Harvest Time in the School Garden

Do you know what Sukuma Wiki is? Or Dodo? In Uganda, such plants are usually simply grouped together as “greens.” They are relatively easy and inexpensive to grow, grow quickly, and add both volume and nutritional value to meals. Plus, they can be harvested several times a year. Home-grown peas and beans are also currently enriching the school’s menu.
The agricultural division of the training workshops launched two years ago. Alongside vegetable and grain cultivation, livestock farming has also expanded. The original three pigs have now grown to a herd of 12. The barn has been enlarged, and rabbits, chickens, and goats can now be safely housed in enclosures at night. There is also plenty of space for them to roam during the day…
